A friend of mine fowarded me this recipe online and I was left drooling. I'm not a big fan of sweets or baking but I was so determined to try these out! Especially for Valentine's Day. I got it from picky-palate.com-She is a genius!! Her recipes are amazing...I had no time to bake the brownies or make cookie dough, so I cheated a bit.
The food coloring I used was very thick & pasty, so I used about half a teaspoon. Mix well.
It's crazy how easy this is.
The brownies are about an inch & a half squares and about half in ch thick. I rounded the edges to make it easier to cover with the cookie dough.
Place one cookie dough ball on top and one on the bottom. The cookie ball is less than an inch and a half in diameter.
Squoosh with the palm of your hands all the way down. should look like this.
Make sure all of the edges are covered and sealed. Place cookies far apart on the baking sheet. These get huge!
Place caramel squares on top if you wish. You can also cut into chunks and scatter on top of cookie instead.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Then bake for 15-18 minutes.
I left some without the caramel.
Things you will need:
- Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough
- Pre-made/store bought brownies
- Red food-coloring (optional)
- Caramel squares (optional)
I wanted to put my own spin on this great recipe so I added red food coloring and caramel squares. The possibilities are endless!!
